Receiving two signals at once — what you're saying, and what's underneath it

My person is often someone who has already done the work that was supposed to work — and it didn't get her all the way there. Her life has been a series of repeated experiences that cause real distress and lead to low self-worth and a diminished sense of herself. She tends to arrive at a point where regular counseling or alternative therapy has fallen short, and she's looking inward to tap into something deeper — her own spirituality, her own pattern, what's actually driving this. She's not a first-timer to figuring herself out. What shifts in our work together is the move from understanding a pattern intellectually to actually experiencing it release — from seeing a behavior to recognizing the belief underneath it, and from there, the possibility of choosing differently.

In Lukwesa's words

Lukwesa's journey

I'm Lukwesa, and what I bring into this work is a long background that has lived on both sides of a divide I eventually needed to close. For years I worked across humanitarian and government contexts, professional coaching, spiritual development, and healing — including Reiki in hospital settings — and what I kept returning to was the same feeling: that the surface of what someone was experiencing was never quite the whole story. What I was looking for was a way to address the whole person — not an isolated problem, behavior, or circumstance. What I found was a form of work that allows my analytical training and my intuitive, energetic awareness to coexist rather than requiring me to keep them in separate rooms. I work in person and online.

I came to this work not because I stumbled upon Reiki and was changed by it, but because I had already spent years building toward it from two directions at once. My professional background had taught me how to analyze complex systems, identify patterns, and work within highly structured environments. My spiritual and healing work had taught me to listen differently — to recognize the emotional and energetic patterns that aren't always visible on the surface. What had been missing was integration. I had explored Reiki, meditation, manifestation and visualization, intuitive development, chakra and energy work, sound healing, and other practices designed to support emotional clarity. So when I eventually found this work, I wasn't looking for another technique to add to a list. I was looking for the missing bridge — a deeper methodology that could connect intuition, energy, emotional healing, consciousness, and practical transformation in a way that felt both grounded and complete.

I'm receiving two signals at once: what they're saying, and what's actually happening underneath it.

How to work with Lukwesa

I grew up with a gift of extreme empathy, precognitive awareness, and the ability to read auras — and in a session, I'm receiving two signals at once: what someone is saying, and what's actually happening underneath it. When someone isn't quite ready to go to the real thing yet, when they're still circling around it, I gently guide them toward what they tend to repeat — a theme that becomes apparent to me over time — and I ask further questions about their level of insight. I'm not pushing them toward something. I'm reflecting back what I'm already seeing until they can see it too. What I want someone to know before they book is that they are entering a completely safe zone, free of any judgment or criticism. I listen with intent to understand. And what they will actually feel when they're with me — not the absence of judgment, but the presence of something — is unconditional awareness and love.

In their clients' words

"My Reiki session with Lukwesa was such a grounding and eye-opening experience. I came in feeling emotionally overwhelmed and stuck in patterns I couldn’t fully make sense of, and I left feeling noticeably lighter, calmer, and much more connected to myself. What made the session especially meaningful was Lukwesa’s ability to combine Reiki with intuitive insight and thoughtful reflection. She helped me recognize an underlying belief that had been influencing the way I was showing up in my relationships, and it was something I had never connected so clearly before. Nothing felt forced or judgmental—she created a space where I felt completely comfortable being open and vulnerable."- Lucille B

"I had been dealing with chronic back pain for a long time, and after receiving Reiki from Lukwesa, I experienced a level of relief I honestly wasn’t expecting. My body felt lighter, the tension in my back noticeably eased, and I felt deeply relaxed after the session. It was one of the first times in a long time that I felt real improvement and a sense of comfort in my body."- Jenni L

What to expect
What this is

My Reiki practice is designed to help people slow down, reconnect with themselves, and better understand the emotional and energetic patterns that may be influencing how they feel, think, and move through their lives. I often work with people who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, disconnected, or caught in recurring patterns they understand intellectually but have not yet been able to shift. My role is not to tell someone who they are or to “fix” them, but to create a grounded, supportive space where greater clarity, self-awareness, and inner balance can emerge. A session with me is both intuitive and structured. We typically begin by talking about what is bringing the person in, what they have been experiencing, and any patterns or concerns they want to explore. I listen closely for the deeper themes beneath what they are describing while also allowing my intuitive awareness to guide the session. From there, I incorporate Reiki and energy work to support relaxation, energetic balance, and emotional release. Depending on the person, I may also incorporate guided reflection, chakra work, coaching, or intuitive insights that arise during the session. What I want someone to leave with is more than simply feeling relaxed. Ideally, they leave with a greater understanding of themselves—perhaps recognizing a belief, emotional wound, or recurring pattern more clearly—along with a sense of lightness, grounding, and practical insight they can carry forward. For me, Reiki is a way of helping people create enough internal space to reconnect with themselves and approach their lives from a more conscious, centered, and empowered place.

What it is not

My Reiki work is not about diagnosing someone, predicting their future, making decisions for them, or promising that one session will resolve every challenge they are facing. I also do not view Reiki as something that replaces a client’s own agency. The goal is to support greater awareness, relaxation, reflection, and energetic balance—not to tell someone what they must do or who they are. A client should not expect a rigid or identical experience every time. Some people may feel deeply relaxed or emotionally lighter, while others may simply notice subtle shifts, insights, or a greater sense of clarity afterward. I do not guarantee a particular physical, emotional, or spiritual outcome, because each person’s experience is individual. Most importantly, my Reiki work is a complementary wellness practice. It is not a substitute for medical care, psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, medication, crisis support, or the advice of other appropriately licensed professionals. If something falls outside the scope of Reiki or coaching, I believe strongly in encouraging clients to seek the appropriate professional support. I see my role as creating a grounded, supportive space where someone can slow down, explore what may be beneath the surface, and reconnect with themselves. Reiki can complement other forms of care beautifully, but it should never require someone to abandon evidence-based treatment or professional guidance.
